Sofia Kiprskaya has been a prizewinner at numerous international harp competitions including the Concours Félix Godefroid (1st prize and Coq d’argent special prize of the Association of Harpists of France and Belgium, Namur, 2003), Lily Laskine International Harp Competition (2nd prize, Deauville, France, 2005), Franz Josef Reinl Stiftung Competition (1st prize, Munich, Germany, 2007), Martine Géliot Competition (1st and special prize of the jury chairman, French composer Jacques Charpentier, Paris, France, 2008; after which time she recorded a solo CD), Vera Dulova Competition (2nd prize, Moscow, 2008), Golden Harp Competition (2nd prize and special prizes for the best performance of works by western European and contemporary composers, St. Petersburg, 2009). At the second International Golden Harp Competition in St. Petersburg in October 2011 she won 1st prize as well as the special prize for the best performance of a work by Tchaikovsky. Moreover, Sofia Kiprskaya has received awards from the New Names Interregional Charitable Foundation (2006), Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation (2008), and she is a recipient of the Star of Prometheus scholarship established by the scholar Dmitry Likhachev (2005), Yuri Temirkanov Prize (2008), Union of Concert Musicians of the Russian Federation Prize “For Outstanding Artistic Achievements and the Supremely Artistic Performance of Classical Music” (St Petersburg, 2008), Hope of Russia Prize (2009), and a grant from the
