So Loon, a duet of HuRe on tabla and HuRa on guitar, plays a special blend of spiritual, world and folk music. Their musical career started in 2009 over a conversation about which Game to play within The Human Game. Soon thereafter, the duo moved to San Rafael, CA to study Hindustani music at the Ali Akbar College of Music. So Loon recently completed their first Loony Tour of California, riding 1000 miles for 3 months from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The documentary can be seen at YouTube.com/SoLoonyHus So Loon sounds to some like psychadelic existential soul music. The expressive acoustic sounds of HuRe's tabla (Indian drums) and HuRa's open tuning & modal guitar have mashed up the genres of "indie-un", folk and improv. The duo performs seated.
