The first pomegranade was created by Aphrodite and Ares in ancient times. These two immortal lovers took a pomegranate and a grenade, and with their combined powers, inspired these two symbolic spherical seeds to conceive a lovechild. The pomegranate is the symbol of love in Ancient Greece. The grenade represents the destructive power of war and revolution. Thousands of years later the seeds of love and revolution unite to bring you the passionate music that is Pomegranade! Pomegranade is the name of the debut album by Snake Goddess, which will be released in 2013. The current incarnation of Snake Goddess consists of Artemis Jamison, Austin Patteson and John Tokarczyk. Austin and Artemis met online in April of 2001. John and Artemis met in early 2012 through a mutual friend. Persephone was recorded and produced in April of 2012 by James Bethune. On the new recordings that will be released later this year, Artemis is singing, writing and playing piano. Austin Patteson is playing cello and violin. John Tokarczyk is playing drums. The inception of this music project was called Pomegranade, which began with the Pigeons EP, recorded by Josh Bratcher in January of 2006. In 2007, Pomegranade became Artemis & the Olympians. During this incarnation, Artemis collaborated with Chauncey "C. Dot" Covington of Durham, NC. Artemis then decided to change the name to Artemis Jamison, since it was essentially her solo project.
