Snails in Joyland is a project by Norwich-based artist and performer honor ash. Working primarily with improvised noise music and using a limited palate of tools, Snails in Joyland operates inconsistently, spontaneously, momentarily and specifically. Hyperlocal, unfussy and floor-based. Slime-driven and edging forwards. Snails in Joyland's debut EP improvisations features recordings from live performances in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The track 2024-04-07 was recorded live at Ambition's Graveyard as part of a noise music all-dayer in support of Gemini Eye's cassette launch of Sad To The Bone But Alive In The Flesh.
