SlyArtË aka Andrea Sollai, born in Gaeta (Italy) in 1988 but raised and currently living in Cassino (Italy), is a producer of Abstract Hip Hop/ Downtempo and Trip Hop music. The "Downtempo Revolution", which happened to him at 26, after years of Heavy Metal/ Progressive Rock and Hard Dance listenings, made him suddenly fall in love with Trip Hop masters like Massive Attack, Portishead and Tricky. In april 2015, Andrea, with several university colleagues, formed the now split-up ensemble PublicArt, that never produced a song as an actual group, since just Andrea actually made some demo tracks on Fruity Loops that were supposed to be re-recorded adding real musical tools with the rest of the band. After two years of failed attemps to finally make something together, the adventure came to an end. But, the tracks remained in Andrea's Hard Disk and, in January 2019, he decided to publish them as a solo project, which formerly was named Sly (inspired by a Massive Attack song) and then, after the publication of the tracks in the form of an album on Bandcamp, became the current monicker, SlyArtË, which was chosen in order to avoid homonimy with other artists: this nick partially retrieve the old ensemble name, adding the Ë, or Schwa, a letter which is pronounced halfway between an A and E (in italian language), part of the alphabet of Neapolitan Language, in this particular case the Cassinese Dialect: Artë is a word of the juvenile slang of Cassino and sorrounding and it is used to
