Slobodan Trkulja (born 29.05.1977 in Odzaci) is Serbian musician, compositor and vocal. Trkulja, together with his group "Balkanopolis" performs music built on traditional ethnic motives which he calls "tradimodern music of Balkan" or modern tradition. He studied and graduated on Amsterdam Jazz Conservatorium, section for saxophone. It is interesting that he never attended music school before he went to study in Amsterdam, but he was playing kaval, flute and bagpipe professionaly since he was 14 years old.
