Sleeping Shelby was formed in 2003 and consists of members: Chris Huebner: Lead Vocals Elliot Fridono: Guitar Don Csicky: Drums Tommy Crambes: Bass Chuck Hannah: Guitar They hail from Schaumburg, IL and in this short amount of time accomplished some incredible musical feats. In the summer of 2003 they completed a 5 song EP which was met with critical acclaim from industry leaders and fans alike. They immediately entered the studio in late 2004 to start production of their debut CD entitled Pepper Rd. In April 2005 they became the 95.1 WIIL Rock Bandemonium Contest winners, this was an 8 week contest amongst 9 local bands all vying to win the title and $10,000.00 in cash, studio time and equipment. From there they were invited to open for national acts Silvertide and Dark New Day in two of Chicagos premier venues, Durty Nellies and the Metro respectively. Each show was written up with favorable reviews of Sleeping Shelby. The stakes were raised even higher in November 2005 with being selected to open for Bon Jovi at Chicagos United Center in front of 19,000 fans November 4th 2005. The NEW fans that attended the show, not expecting to be hit with the power and professionalism, the crowd quickly took to Sleeping Shelby with open arms and the evidence of a fantastic show was realized from over 5000 hits to their website in the following days, with praise.
