Sleeping At The Popes started in late 2004. They've played a bunch of shows with some of Cape Town's top bands, such as: Armour For Nightmares, The Doppler Effect, ManInSuit, Hog Hoggidy Hog and more. The aim of this band was for a bunch of great freinds to come together and play the music they love, whilst educating and informing the local Punk scene about some issues they keep near and dear to their hearts. Being an anarcho punk band they like to spread their message to the people who watch them play. They are all vegeterian anarchists. Unlike other "big talkers" in certain bands, they're trying to make a change in this world. They're out there to make some friends, have some fun, and spread their message of peace, love and equality. "If someone comes to one of our shows, watches us play, picks up some pamphlets, stickers or any other merch we hand out, and is inspired in their life to make a change in this world, thats cool, if not, thats their desicison."
