sleepers wake is a quartet of young gentlemen from Princeton, New Jersey. The group was formed in 2004 when childhood friends Kris David and Dillon Swol began writing songs together on acoustic guitars. The addition of drummer Kevin DeStefano saw a new sound begin to form. Kevin's unique, passionate drumming style brought a new level of intensity to Kris and Dillon's impeccably written tunes. Drawing on their love of atmospheric music, like sigur ros and explosions in the sky, as well as their fondness for well written pop rock, like flickerstick and coldplay, the trio created a sound that was completely their own. In the beginning of 2009, the final piece of the puzzle was set in place. Kris' younger brother Andrew, joined the ranks. Now building up momentum in the New York music scene playing a number of well-known venues for up and coming indie artists, attracting attention from music blogs and putting the finishing touches on their 'Black & Grey e.p.', the group is poised to accomplish the one goal they set out to do... wake the world.
