Slaughter Master is a punk-influenced thrash metal/crossover costume metal band formed on Cape Cod Mass in 2000 with members Kyle Rasmussen aka Rasmussen the Obliterator (drums/vocals), Mike Cicale aka Thorny Jack Cicadillac Cicale (guitar), Bill "Batnick" Stewart (guitar) and "Don Juan" Tom Joslin (bass), after playing a show at their high school as the "Amazing metallic mayhem improv band". Slaughter Master plays wearing half assed GWAR-like costumes and performing silly stage antics such as cardboard box robots, fake blood, tearing apart stuffed bunny animals, and a general air of self richeousness. After a few months of making terrible noise, they got Jeff "Meathooks" Moody to play drums and Kyle took over vocal duties full time. They wrote their first three songs in one day, the "Slaughter Master Theme Song", "Slaughterjuice" and "Little Bunny Foo Foo" in 2001, and continued to only have three songs for about a solid year, filling their set time with a handful of punk and metal covers. Bill "Batnick" Stewart eventually was removed from the lineup, and Rasmussen the Obliterator begain multitasking as rhythm guitarist and vocalist. The Obliterator, Thorny Jack and Meathooks wrote "Robotic Apocalypse" during that summer. Shortly after, Don Juan Joslin left the band and was replaced by Jake "The Ripper" Sullivan to play bass. This lineup was short lived as Jake was an unreliable member of the band, and Slaughter Master's activity began to slow to an eventual hiatus in
