Slan was a freejazz/impro ensemble consisting of John Zorn on alto sax, Elliott Sharp on electric guitar and Ted Epstein on drums. John Zorn described their music as 'totally improvised hardcore'. Unfortunately, they released no albums, although two tracks appeared on the compilation cd 'Live at the Knitting Factory Volume Three' (1990).
