Sky's On Fire is the project of Sonny Thomas and Nathan Moore from Yellow Springs, Ohio. Their first album, "Drinking a Sea" was self released in 2001. All songs were recorded by Sonny Thomas and Nathan Moore in their bedrooms during the duo's sophomore and junior year of high school. Their follow up album "Rattlesnake" was recorded in the same manner as the first during the years of 2006-2007. The band focuses specifically on instrumental music (although a few of their songs feature lyrics) and D.I.Y. home-studio/computer production. Although the members of Sky's On Fire have established separate side projects, the two principal members continue to write and record, sending tracks across the country between Olympia, Washington and Athens, Ohio. Related musical projects include "Escape From Eskimo Island" featuring both Thomas and Moore along with vocalist Moriel Rothman. "Mustache" is an electronic music project started by Sonny Thomas and Dylan Clonch in the Seattle area in 2008. Also in 2008, Nathan Moore began the "Geodude" collective featuring minimalist electro music under the name of "FNO767". The collective also features film, photography, and other visual art by numerous collaborators.
