Sky Moose was formed in 2005 and consisted of two bored young men with creativity running over the brim. They recorded a short, humorous novelty album entitled "Fresh!" which was to be Sky Moose's equivalent of Pink Floyd's Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Sky Moose later evolved into a four-piece funk jazz and blues powerhouse. Owen Ross, on guitar and vocals, is the only remaining original member of Sky Moose. The four men previously called themselves The Department of the Interior, but later decided to inherit the name Sky Moose from the timeless duo from years ago.
