Skripglow is Adrian Smith of Click Click. Skripglow (in this instance) sounds like: Dark Ambient music with a little light refreshment at random intervals. A forerunner to an exploration of the inner landscapes of digital audio and analogue ears. Smith began the Skripglow project while looking for a crossover between chillout and ambient. "Too often chillout music relies on formula to achieve a pleasing result. It's become stale and just a little corporate. I like the idea of throwing a pneumatic drill halfway into an eight minute piece of tranquil ambience - BAM! - palpitations, cold sweats and, slowly so they don't notice, back to tranquility. I don't see why chillout can't have a bit of an edge and still be relaxing." The first album in the project ("Day One") was all about dark ambient soundscapes. The follow up ("Biblefire") retains the template but adds percussion and violence to the mix. Smith is currently working on various related projects including an extremely dark chillout collection (Copperson - "Alchemy") and a collection of recently discovered Click Click tapes ("Experiments").
