It would appear there are two artists here on Last.fm called Skiff. 1: One of them is the musical handle for a chap named Finn Richardson; a Gloucester, UK, based artist who likes to make classical-inspired electronica tracks. He was once also known as Slippersneakers, but thats all about to change, for Skiff he is. 2: For the other one, no information seems to present itsself. If anyone wants to enlighten the community and add their info here then by all means please do! Skiff (aka Finn Richardson) was born in Eskdalemuir, Scotland in the year of 1987. At the age of 3 he moved with his family to the delightful Cotswolds (Gloucestershire, more specifically). Skip forwards 17 years or so of good times and generally growing up to be a fine figure of a man. Skiff finds himself addicted to beautiful music in all forms, and has a hankering to make some himself. Some time and several poxy music making programs later (including a tinny ringtone composing program) he stumbles across Ableton Live and finds it the perfect platform for all his dreams and sounds. With electronica/IDM influences ranging from Aphex Twin to cLOUDDEAD to Frog Pocket to The Books, and a great love for classical instruments, evocative and beautiful sounds, and intricate yet heavy beats, he started to experiment and produce some wonderfully eccentric, optimistic and beautiful songs. He is currently unsigned, and does surprisingly little to promote his music, save for myspace and a friend-based fanbase. It
