A lover of music from an early age, SKHI entered school competitions where he always placed in the first three. At age ten he was already composing ballads and singing along to his favourite songs on the radio. At age eighteen he and his friend and entered the popular "Party Time" competition on Trinidad and Tobago Television doing a dance routine, and placed third. At age twenty, SKHI was a front line singer with MVOICE where he stayed for one year before forming Ataklan with Mark Jiminez, singing Rapso music. The two parted ways after two years. He also did work on the road with Roy Cape All Stars for a Carnival season. Singing under the name S.K.H.I. which stands for "Science Is Knowledge That Heightens Intelligence", his first song on independent label Jamdong, Inc. was "Find Ah Way", released in 2006, followed in 2007 with "Addictive". 2008 has been a big year for SKHI, with the release of "Desire", which he performed at the Soca Monarch 2008 in the Groovy category. SKHI has been performing at venues all over South Florida, and Boston, and is looking forward to the Toronto Caribana season, where he will be featured at several events. Covering social and romantic themes, SKHI is beginning to enjoy popular success in T&T, garnering major recognition and radio play for "Desire". SKHI's hobbies include reading, soccer, going to the beach and movies, composing and listening to all varieties of music. His album is set to be released during the Easter season. Fans can expect
