2002 Skapela was born in village Vyhne in middle of Slovakia (central Europe). On the beginning there was 4 friends Slavomir Culaga (gutar, vocal, trumpet), Peter Zavalec (guitar, vocal), Pavel Weiss (bass guitar) and Zdeno Borga (drums). They try to play ska music similar like Polemic, Ska-P, Yellow umbrella... 2005 first and for this moment only one album was produced - Skamenelina. Biggest accompishment was - play with Skalariak in SUBclub in Bratislava. Since 06.10.2007 Roman Szenkereszty (keyboards) and since 12.09.2008 Silvia (alt-saxofon) started play with Skapela.
