Artist
Six String Malfunction was formed in 1994 by Roland Daum. The intent was to make ambient 4-track recordings - sometimes quiet, sometimes noisy - that blur the lines between fuzzed out dream pop, short-wave radio static and oceans of reverberated, orchestral electric guitar. Sporadic live incarnations have existed in various lineups, with additional elements ranging from vibraphone, didgeri-do, timpani, viola and drums to the multi-guitar wall of drones.
