6 Million Dollar Weirdo is a glam-synth-punk band created in Mexico City on 2005. Its members are: A-Boo (vocals/synth), Zette (electronic percussion), Tammy (vocals/bass), and Dr. Bona Bonson (guitar/machines). 6m$ Weirdo suggests a return to the synthetic punk of the 70s and 80s. They're a product of the musical genetics of bands such as The Stooges, Neu!, Chrome, Suicide, Chrisma, Klaus Nomi, Jobriath, Screamers, Units, Devo, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Ultravox!, Size and Dangerous Rhythm. Other influences for 6m$ Weirdo are rooted in sci-fi: Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Aldous Huxley, Blade Runner, Andromeda Strain, Logan's Run, Zardoz, Soylent Green, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Rocky Horror Picture Show, A Clockwork Orange. 6m$ Weirdo is another project from the music movement known as the Chimeco Record Company. The band presented their first EP with 4 tracks: "Synthetic 6", "Brain Police", "Horror Amor" and "$6m Weirdo" on April 7th, 2006 in a Mexico City bar called Pasagüero.
