Sinnssyk Ugle is an indie rock band from Bodø, located in the northern parts of Norway. The band was formed in early september 2006, with a desire to create something out of the ordinary. During 2006 they played a string of gigs at local clubs and festivals, including Bodø Hardcore Festival #9 in November. To cap off the year they recorded a two song demo, consisting of the songs "Gatelangs" and "Odas liv". 2007 was a good year for Sinnssyk Ugle. They played support slots for The School, Lukas Kasha and Dominic and performed at the Parken Festival in Bodø, alongside 120 Days, CunninLynguists and Chris Cornell. They also recorded their second demo, with the songs "Pistola" and "Chloe O'Brian". In September 2007 Sinnssyk Ugle went on tour for the first time, together with fellow Bodø artists Magnus Eliassen and Silje Halstensen.
