SimpleSongs is Belgian singer-songwriter Ken Veerman’s one man band. Mixing simple songs for piano and/or guitar with live-sampling, soundscapes, humming laptop noise and tons of reverb, SimpleSongs takes a wholely new approach to the time-proven concept of the singer-songwriter. With his combination of vulnerable, intimate guitar songs, bombastisc piano ballads and sound experiment, SimpleSongs composes a collection of 21st century campfire songs. 2007 saw the release of the Last Day On Earth EP: a dark tale of the final moments of an anonymous city and the way its inhabitants cope with this imminent end .
