Tenebre is the soundtrack to Dario Argento's film of the same name, first released as an album in 1982, and later reissued with multiple bonus tracks. The score was composed and performed by three members of the rock group Goblin, who briefly reunited at the request of the film's director. Tenebres' soundtrack is a departure from their 70s prog styles found on Profondo Rosso, Roller and Suspiria and has more of a 80s/new wave/disco kind of approach. In 2007, "Tenebre", the first track, was sampled by French electronic music duo Justice on their album †, in the songs "Phantom" and "Phantom Pt. II".
