Simone Kleinsma (born May 8th, 1958) is an acclaimed and award winning musical theatre actress from the Netherlands. She played in numerous Dutch musicals: - Les Miserables as Madame Thénardier - Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as Mrs. Lovett - Mamma Mia! as Donna - Chicago as Roxie Hart. - Sunset Boulevard as Norma Desmond She has won musical awards at the John Kraaijkamp Musical Awards twice. She won best female lead in a major musical in June 2009 for her role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard and previously won an award in 2001 for her role as Donna in Mamma Mia!.
