Silver Legacy is a Costa Rican symphonic power metal band from San José, Costa Rica. The band was formed in 2020 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Pablo Hidalgo and guitarist and Mix Engineer Allan Quesada. The lineup was soon completed with vocalist Adrían Moya and drummer Johan Calderón. Together, they released their debut EP Sail Away, featuring guest guitarist Frank Aguilar, who recorded his solos (The Shore) remotely from Hannover, Germany. In various local interviews, Pablo has cited bands such as Savatage, Helloween, and Edguy as major influences in his songwriting process, shaping the band’s theatrical and melodic approach to power metal. Additionally, Silver Legacy’s sound draws inspiration from the twin-guitar harmonies of Iron Maiden and the symphonic, keyboard-driven arrangements reminiscent of Stratovarius, resulting in a blend of heavy riffs, epic atmospheres, and emotionally charged melodies. Continuing their creative journey, Silver Legacy has released two additional singles: Dhumavati and Misbehaving. Both songs feature collaborations with talented musicians from the Costa Rican metal scene, including Carlos López (lead Guitar) and Andrés Chavarría (bass guitar), further enriching the band’s evolving sound.
