Based in Chorley, Lancashire, Silver Dogs is an eclectic and highly original 6-piece band with a trademark sound and style that ranges from acoustic folk to progressive rock – and beyond! The band has a wealth of gigging, touring and recording experience within its ranks, and has established a reputation for stunning musicianship, high octane performances and a top quality sound. Silver Dogs features powerful vocals with lead fiddle and guitar, all driven by a rock solid rhythm section. The songs usually have a story to tell which will most likely contain mystical elements of love (usually lost or unrequited), betrayal, death, the sea, madness – and the occasional set of tunes. But Silver Dogs’ is a band very firmly planted in the 21st Century – “this lot put more rock into folk than many other bands put together.” (Tim Carroll, Folk Words) The band has gained a big following from gigs in pubs, clubs, theatres, and festivals - as well as from airplay, radio performances and downloads.
