Silke lives in New Zealand and is learning to play the ukulele, her first instrument ever. She gigs a lot around town and every Thursday around 4pm, she sings a song on Ursula's 95bFM Drive. Listen online at www.95bfm.com! Somewhere very early on, Silke ended up performing live, weekly on radio 95bFM’s Friday Drive show with A.D.A.M. for 1 1/2 years or so, something that pushed her beyond what she thought she was capable of, thanks to the very supportive Adam and his crew. A whole city basically observed Silke learn her first instrument ever on prime time radio These days Silke is lucky enough to sometimes get to perform with musicians she greatly admires, which pushes her into trying harder, practising more and slowly getting better at making music. In 2010 she was part of the winning team "The Downlow Concept" in the nationwide 48 Hour Film Competition, for which she provided the female vocals, particularly of the perfectly untranslatably filthy german language song "Schweinevergewaltigende Hure", as part of the soundtrack team with Damian Golfinopolous and Joshua Lynn. She usually covers other people’s songs, but that'll eventually change, because she has been practising to write her own songs for a few months. "As pure as driven snow" A.D.A.M. "...at about 5am in the morning her and a whole bunch of people sang 99 Luftballons, that was an extremely good... that was one of the best moments in radio, actually!"
