The music flows between fragile sounds and open spaces to more dense rhythmic structures and despite the contrasting character of the music, it always remains soft-edged, inviting the audience to enter its nocturnal sound world. The minute attention to detail attests to the sensitivy of the musicians: every little sound is important and has the potential to lead the music in new directions. The Silencers represent with their combination of improvised/written pieces, a fresh wind in contemporary music, and they will puzzle audiences with their forceful yet soft and strangely moving music.
