Shower With Goats existed as part of the NJPP (New Jersey Pop Punk) scene from 1994-2000. They were well known for their unique blend of raw, upbeat punk tunes backed with emphatic vocals. There really was never an “SWG sound”. Their influences ranged from many bands including Fifteen, Face To Face, Quit, Big Drill Car, All, Rhythm Collision, and even Crass on occasion. They originally formed from the remains of an old band called M.N.F.S.T., and went on to release several 7” records, 1 full length, and copious unreleased tracks on scattered compilation releases. Shower With Goats frontman and founder, Steve Neurotic, decided to end the band in February 2000 for numerous reasons. From 2000 to the late 2003, Steve ran the infamous punk website, Poppunk.Com. In March of 2007, Steve met up with long time fans of SWG, Ed Arson and Daryl Goat to jam out some of the old songs for fun, on a trip to see his folks. The practice so well that Steve finally caved in and decided he wanted to do a reunion show with Ed and Daryl. On May 26th, 2007 history was made, as the band played a reunion show to a packed house at Trenton, New Jersey’s Mill Hill Basement. This show made a decision to revive the band part time, as Steve now lives in Charlotte North Carolina, and Daryl & Ed both reside in Carlisle Pennsylvania.
