The story of Show Champa started in the fall of 2009, as two of the band members quited another band and decided to start a new project, heading towards more melancholic based rock music. The two members, Preben Fuglset (17) and Torstein Vesteng Vala (17), started recording music in a tiny home studio, and was joined by drummer Kasper Waag (15) a few months later. Things continued developing, and Preben's older brother Liam Fuglset (22) joined the band as lead vocalist. Soon also Kjetil Nilssen (18, vibraphone) and Jon Grindbakken (15, bass guitar) was included, and the line up was complete. During the summer of 2010, Show Champa played some concerts around in local towns and festivals, and also went to the Norwegian capital Oslo to record a demo version of one of their very first songs, Arms of Faith. Six people with diverse backgrounds makes Show Champa a band with a lot of different musicial influences. Alternative rock, inspired by a mix of jazz, world music and electronica, means a varieted song list.
