Short Handed Goal is: 1. A 6-piece ska/punk band based in Providence, Rhode Island. Influenced by Reel Big Fish, Less than Jake and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Short Handed Goal is energetic Ska Punk with a passion for upbeats and dirty horns. They have shared the stage with great acts such as The Toasters, The Agents, Brunt Of It, The Rudeness, Bad Larry, Punchline, I Call Fives and more. 2. A hardcore band from Chicago, Illinois. All members are from the Chicago area and have grown up listening to some form of heavy music. In the early development of the band, Short Handed Goal went through quite a few line up changes with singers, drummers, and bass players. At the same time, the band was having an unfortunate drought in shows because everything they booked would get canceled or changed. Once the band solidified their lineup good things started to happen. Shows rolled in more and more, and the band also did a short week long tour through the upper Midwest. Although, still a young band Short Handed Goal has made a name for themselves throughout Chicago and the Midwest, known for their mid-90's breakdown laden sound and violently rowdy shows. The band members have a varying taste in music with bands like; Death Before Dishonor, Until The End, Earth Crisis, Down To Nothing, Bury Your Dead, Reign Supreme, 40 SLS, Convicted, and more....All members love hockey and support the Chicago Blackhawks.
