about

www.shivasdaydream.com www.myspace.com/shivasdaydreamband.com BIOGRAPHY Shiva’s Daydream is a psychedelic/progressive/rock band from Los Angeles, formerly known as 3000 REALMS. They have gigged extensively throughout the L.A. scene for the past 3 years, and recorded their first demo at Blueberry Buddha Studios in June of 09’ with jazz fusion drummer virtuoso Kofi Baker (son of the legendary drummer of Cream). In the spring of 2010, that demo fell into the hands of Grammy award winning producer Matt Hyde (Porno for Pyros, No Doubt, Slayer, Staind, Johnny Lang, Children of Bodom). In December of that year Matt enthusiastically took the band into Sunset Lodge Studios in Silverlake, CA (Danzig, Bad Religion) to record their first five song EP. In the spring of 2011, Shiva's Daydream won the Perks Place West Productions' Battle of the Bands with the single "3 For A Dollar" and had the great pleasure of recording "Push You Away" with producer/engineer Chuck Johnson (Neil Young, Deftones, Korn, Slipknot). Shiva's Daydream's sound is fueled by the classic- progressive rock bands of the 1960s-70s, the alternative rock bands of the early 1990s, and combines elements of classical, blues, electronic and jazz fusion. "Shiva's Daydream has a sound that is reminiscent of Alice In Chains and early Sound Garden, but with an electronic element and a progressive flair.” – Matt Hyde (http://www.matthyde.com/blog.html) User-contributed text is available
