In summer 2008 classical mezzosoprano Anna Aliena (ex-singer of Fairy’s Garden) and the composer Oliver Höhne founded ShirayasDream in Berlin and established a new musical genre. They call it “alien pop” which combines elements of opera, gothic, electro and world fusion. In October 2008 Anna and Oliver had their first chance to present this innovative style at the gothic festival “Nox Obscura” in the Netherlands, further concerts followed (and will follow in the future). Their songs deal with travelling to dreamworlds and far-away lands, the desire to escape from reality is often expressed in their lyrics. Welcome to the surrealistic realm of atmospheric sounds!
