Shinsplints began out of the ashes of a failed ska/punk band in October 2010. They have since continued to refine their own version of drunken Midwestern pop-punk. Their songs can be described as angsty sing-alongs fueled by ruined relationships and general discontent with living "trapped between the coasts." Their live shows can be raucous and borderline offensive, while still driving their point home with tons of energy. Their apparent love for the stage rivals only their love for shipwreck metaphors. As far as the local St. Louis punk scene goes, this four-piece is certainly a can't-miss.
