There are 2 bands with this name 1) Shingen is a sludge band from Niagara, Ontario, Canada. 2) Shingen are a Metallic Hardcore quintet from Manchester, England. Formed in 2013 under the name Deadweight, the band consists of vocalist Aiden Burns, guitarists Adam Switzer and Joe Harrison, Bassist Jake Adams and Drummer Sam Roberts. Prior to the name change in 2015, the band released one EP entitled "Uprising". Since then they have released a single showing a more melodic style to their previous works, also incorporating elements of post-rock, influenced by bands such as In Hearts Wake, Defeater and While She Sleeps.
