Shilo Andrews was born and raised in North West London where for the first 16 years of his life music was just a noise in the background. Straight after finishing high school he flew to northern California to live with his father (a retired musician) where he spent the next 4 years discovering his passion for music. Immediately feeling the sting of being alone Shilo set up an airstream trailer in the forest on the back of his dad's land and built a studio in it where he would spend all his nights producing and mastering his guitar playing. Shilo:"I would stay up from midnight to about six AM just messing with sounds" Most of his inspiration coming from Bob Marley Shilo bought himself a Marley song book and was singing the songs in no time. "No woman No cry is probably my most idolized song to date. That song was able to talk about a political view without a judgment. Something i think music in general finds very hard to do". After a year in the forest he moved to the town of Santa Rosa where he attended Santa Rosa Junior College. Majoring in Theater he eventually dropped every academic class he had in order to focus on acting and music. He started a hip-hop group "Live Long" and went into producing an album. Finishing college he decided a change was needed. Shilo:"It was either LA or New York. I'd been to LA once already and never New York so... I figured i'd try something new.
