FORMED: January 2009 MEMBERS: Jak (drums) James (vocals/guitar) Kev (guitar/vocals) Steve (bass/vocals) http://www.myspace.com/shieldsup Forming in January 2009, Shields Up have taken the Edinburgh hardcore scene by storm in such a short time. Consisting of long-serving members of the local punk rock scene has given them a lot of experience, and this shows through the tracks that have been unleashed so far. A self produced debut album was released in October 2009 (Album of the Month (Sept '09, Vic Galloway, BBC Radio 1) and 2011 will see the release of a double EP with a lot of gigging throughout the year.
