Sheffield Stylophone Orchestra was a band built around a team of four players of the 1970s electronic toy, the stylophone. Their shows consisted of cover versions of famous pop songs, mainly ones from Sheffield. Their only published recording is a cover of "I Shot Her At The Setting Of The Sun", originally by Ann Shenton's Large Number, which appeared on the White Label records compilation CD The Electronic Bible volume 2. The orchestra folded in 2005 as founder member and lynchpin Richard Dubrecq began owrking on his new band The Pony Harvest. You can buy the compilation CD featuring their only published track from: White Label Records. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
