BAND 1; We could go and write a big paragraph trying to describe Shanty Town and what we are about. But when you get down to the nitty gritty of things Shanty Town are just four lads from Salford having a laugh doing what we enjoy doing! Which is playing our own music live and giving the audience a good night. If you like what we do, then nice one come with us, get on it and let the good times roll. If you don't then no problem you'll see the light soon enough . BAND 2:Take a couple of wildcats, the hypnotic ska backbeat and a whole lot of soul and you'll end up with what we call Shanty Town. Delivering music that surely will put you in a dancing mood - Shanty Town presents jazzy brass, freaky accordion, smooth bass, swinging synth, fisty guitar, smashingly cool drums and wild singers. There has been a lot happening since 2001, when we started this thing. People have come and gone. We have played with punk legends like Last Resort, as well as newcomers like Svenska Akademien, and its always a pleasure to leave the sweaty crowd while its begging for more, whether it's in jazzy Nalen, or rocky Sticky Fingers. Moving up and going strong, delivering high pulse and exciting melodies where ever we go, putting Linköping on the map.
