there is more than one band called Shangri La 1)Shangri La is a Croatian rock band made in 2006. Altough they had several changes in their lineup, they are soon to record their first album on an indie label. The recent lineup is as follows: Lara - vocals Jura - rythm guitar Chof - solo guitar Grinc - drums Ritz - Bass 2) Shangri La is one of the most promising Bulgarian rock bands nowadays. It was originally created in 1992 (their name was "Sad Toy Killer") but in 2000, after the main vocalist moved to London, they decided to change the name of the band and start over. Inspired by the legend of heaven existing on earth, as described in the book "The Lost Horizon" (by James Hilton) they decide on the name "Shangri La". The single "Iskah da te imam" rolled exclusively on "BG Radio" in June 2001 and within the following two months became one of the most aired songs on the radio. It entered the "Our 20" chart and stayed there for 10 whole weeks, two of which in the #1 spot. The band also won the prize "Discovery of BG Radio 2002" - the only category that the radio crew indulged to create and award based entirely on their own judgment and specifically for Shangri La. The band's second single - "Kakto nikoga predi" has been on Bulgarian radios for two months now. It's premiere was in BNT's (Bulgarian National Television's) show - "Vsyaka nedelya".
