There are at least three bands called Shake Appeal. 1. Shake Appeal was a 1980s garage rock band from Oxford, United Kingdom, some of whose members later formed Swervedriver. Formed in 1984, the band consisted of guitarists Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge, singer Graham Franklin, drummer Paddy Pulzer and bassist Paul Wilson (who was replaced with Richard Mason, who in turn was later replaced with Adi Vines). They released one single: 'Gimme Fever' / 'Mexico City SOS' and later appeared on a local compilation album before disbanding in 1989. 2. Shake Appeal was a short-lived post-punk band from the Leeds area of Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Fronted by singer Fiona Gregg, they released just one single: 'My Own Way' b/w 'Not Interested' (1980). Fiona Gregg would later front The Parachute Men. 3. Shake Appeal were a three-piece who released the album You're Too Rich on Go Kart Records in the mid part of the decade.
