Ian Perry, Seamus Herbert & Daniel Shaw. Perry-herbert-Shaw, their second collaboration for Shaico Records Glastonbury and Bristol in the SW UK www.shaico.co.uk Acoustic trio. Singer songwriters all in their own right, come together to produce a CS&N and roots type sound. Reaching to the past for authentic influences, moving forward with real songs. Double bass, cajon, acoustic and semi guitars, mandolin, harmonies. John Martyn, Sun & Stax Records, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Martyn Joseph. Perry-Herbert-Shaw are three singers songwriters who have been performing as a trio around the South West for the last four years. Formerly known as ‘Shaico’ they have just finished and released their second album ‘Old News & Spiritual Blues’. the first album was titled 'Shaico'now known as 'the fish house album' available from http://www.cafepress.co.uk/shaico.387068696 The album 'old news &spiritual blues' reflects a range of influences in a stripped- back and acoustic way. Seamus Herbert (a native of Glastonbury) has playing in many bands, including ‘One Nation’ from the midlands. He has brought influences such as his experience of jamming with Bedouin in the Desert of Morocco to the project. Ian Perry (one-time winner of the songwriter of Bath competition) has spent time playing flamenco with ‘gypsies’ in Spain, and he brings these rhythms and modes to the sound through the Spanish guitar and the flamenco percussion instrument the Cajon.
