Shadow Dreams is a hard rock band formed in 2007 from Auckland, New Zealand. The band consists of Jason Delrio on lead vocals, Baxter Massey on lead guitar and backing vocals, Deline Samaka on lead and rhythm guitar, Dr. Bevan Weir on bass guitar, and Glen Meltzer on the drums. While Shadow Dreams is classified as hard rock, the band shows its range of sound with slower tempo songs such as "Talk to me", to a more classic metal sound with "Distance" and the title track "Shadow Dreams". Shadow Dreams was featured on the Alt TV show "The Gun Show" which aired on xxxx in New Zealand. Background Baxter Massey decided to be a guitarist when he was still in high school and for the first time listened to Use Your Illusion by Guns N Roses. Massey and his high school buddy Alan bought acoustic guitars and started playing Guns N' Roses version of "Down on the farm" and at the same time started to compose music. Baxter than spent another two years playing and learning new material 7 hours a day. While Massey was still in his old band Scarletine he started to Jam regularly on weekends with his University buddy Deline Samaka. "we'd spend hours just standin' there and makin' endlessly long guitar solos and not get bored (laughs)" says Massey . Then it wasn't till one Sunday afternoon (almost a month after leaving his old band) that Samaka showed Baxter this amazing guitar riff for this soon to be a hit song "unknown" that Massey suggested to Samaka that it's about time to start a new b
