"Although SHADOW DANCERS are Gothic Rock in the band membership is firmly entrenched in Black Metal folklore led as they are by vocalist Stian Johansen, better known as Occultus of MAYHEM. Johansen, a member of THYABHORRENT, had been editor of 'Sepulcharal Noise' fanzine and an employee of the late Euronymous at his infamous 'Helvete' store when he bravely filled the awning chasm in the MAYHEM ranks left after the suicide of Dead. Johansen's stay was short and after a matter of weeks he exited to found PERDITION HEARSE."
