Hailing from Canada’s very own Sin City Montreal, Quebec, Seven Till Dawn is a performing/songwriting duo that is poised to be a force to be reckoned within the Canadian rock scene. After over a decade of playing music together in various bands, Jeff Linstead and Jason Hempey have embarked on a dynamic journey sure to turn heads and force people to take notice. Their music is heavily driven by powerful, emotional melodies, and lyrics. “We like to combine emotional lyrics with huge vocal melodies to get our idea across. Out of all the elements that can potentially make a hook in a song, we focus on finding that perfect combination of lyrics that have significance and melodies that make an impact on the listener.” says main vocalist Jeff Linstead when describing Seven Till Dawn’s style. Amongst their own personal recording and performing endeavors, Jeff and Jason also write songs for up and coming artists, give music lessons to aspiring musicians and record/mix and produce local bands. “After playing for all these years, the need to totally submerse ourselves into music only becomes stronger. That is why we ambitiously and recklessly (laughs) take on so many musical responsibilities.” states Jeff. Released in early 2011, their first full length album November Skies is a strong representation of their driving passion for music and the importance of raw emotion in lyric writing.
