Seven Day War, from Darlington in the North East of England were officially formed in 2010 having completed the line up with the addition of Martin Powton in January 2010. David Aiken and Jonny Galloway having both been in Darlington band 'The Maginot Line' back in 2005/06, decided after a long break from music to go about writing music with no great emphasis on getting gigs, and just make music for the love of making music. Martyn Bennett, David Aiken's drum teacher joined the band having both been former members in the 2001 band 'Emphatic Beat'. Robert Powton also of 'Emphatic Beat' joined the band on bass and the band set about the completing the lineup having written a good amount of material.
