Musician, songwriter, and producer Seth Kauffman currently resides in the small town of Black Mountain, NC. After Hightone Records released both his debut 'Powder' EP and his full-length 'Ting' in 2006, his eclectic style left critics drawing comparisons as diverse as Motown to the Carribean. In addition to working on his own music since 2006, Kauffman recently performed on Band of Horses' Tyler Ramsey's solo release and produced, performed on, and wrote much of the forthcoming album from Nashville's Courtney Jaye. In the fall of 2007, Kauffman returned with 'Research' (Park The Van). Once again Kauffman performed and recorded virtually every note himself at his home studio, and once again his organic approach to making records received rave reviews.
