Artist
There is more than one artist named Servo: 1) A melodic punk/pop band from the UK. 2) An electronic punk project from New Zealand. 3) A rock 'n roll pop-core group from France. 4) A psychedelic coldwave band from Rouen, France. 5) A math rock/post-hardcore band from the Yukon. 1) Servo, UK. Brought on together while under the inspiration of Leatherface, Snuff, Hüsker Dü, and Sugar, Servo serviced the U.K. with their own brand of female fronted, loose melodic punk/pop. Consisting of singer/guitarist Carolyn, drummer Jamie, bassist Steve, and other guitarist Andy, Crackle Records immediately fell in love with the band after hearing their first six-song demo entitled Blueprint. The label re-released the demo on a 7" format in July of 1998 before putting out their first full-length, Everything's Difficult, in 1999. 2) Servo, New Zealand. Servo is the solo project of Alec Withers (Big Blue Blanket, Tempo 38) which is basically your modern day MC act minus the DJ and the sponsored ‘Bling’. MC service deals in 80’s style drum beats, synth-bass with rap delivered punk rock style vocals. Along with these wandering labels Servo has also been dubbed ‘The Hardcore of Hip Hop’ or ‘Scum Hop’ which is actually bullshit. – www.hityourheadmusic.tk Discography: Ron Giorgi Park (Album, 2005 Hit Your Head Music) Lock, Stock & Barrel (Single, 2005 Hit Your Head Music) Servo: Alec Withers (Servo) - Vocals, Programming Khan Ratima (K1) - Guest MC Greg McColl (The GiSM) - Guitar 3) Servo, Fra
