The Septic Insurgent (a.k.a.Huw Sinclair) is more than just a goat, he’s a goat that has an ear for, and talent to, make fucking great music. To generalise his projects as just Dubstep would be ridiculous but at the moment that scene seems to be having quite the love affair with him. His 1st full release on Abducted Records and running his now defunct, ‘Killswitch’ night in Manchester seem to have been the main sparks in establishing that affair. More recently Ninja Columbo’s ZoMbFREE label have jumped on him to release something a bit more musical and intricate, Huw has obviously appealed to more than just the swing beat loving punters out there. Its no doubt as his roots lie heavily in hardcore/metal where he then made a common progression to jungle and its surrounding spider web of evolving family tree. This led then to the want to make dubstep with balls and influenced heavily by the heavy influencing ‘Vex’d’, he decided to try his own take on the sound. He’s definatley achieved his own sound and it continues to grow... rapidly. Im genuinely excited (and intimidated) to see what he will come up with next. His thirst to improve and experiment really is the a key factor... enough of this anyway, go see him live and come back and tell me he wasn’t the freshest sounding act on the bill.
