Once upon a time, there was a duck born behind the river. This duck has nothing to do with the tale of our Awesome Senorita. Picking up a guitar at the age of 14, Lauren (our beloved heroine) just couldn't find the strength to put it down. After studying Music at Spelman College for a few years while easing on down the waitress road, the ambitious Senorita set out to make a living doing what she loves. Taking the knowledge she gained from spending a couple years working as a show manager for a few Atlanta venues, she began booking SenoritAwesome! at festivals, live radio performances, and countless local coffehouse and open mic shows. Her biggest accomplishment to date was the Pop! Sensibility Tour she embarked on with fellow singer/songwriter Danny B! during the summer of 2009. The 16-city adventure included stops at Neutral Grounds Coffehouse in New Orleans, LA; Bill's Records in Dallas, TX; The Speakeasy in Austin, TX; and every Mall between San Antonio and Memphis. Currently armed with a 6-track Live EP and a recent studio LP, "I sing, I play, I write..." (both independently released!), The Awesome is on a mission to find herself on the biggest stage with the brightest lights. Nowadays, Senorita works full time managing and promoting her Acoustic Brand of music. When she's not laying down sweet sounds in the studio, you can catch SenoritAwesome performing anywhere from Festival Lawns and Zoos to Ice Cream Shoppes and Smoky Bars around the country.
