Selles is the musical brainchild of Michael Jakucs who started making music under the name The Stars Above in 2010. Michael Jakucs hails from Southern California where the sun drenched beaches and Los Angeles skyline have seeped into his music. His themes are meant to be introspective and nostalgic, which comes from his insights into the darker side of life gleaned from his work as a private investigator and his degree in philosophy. Selles’ soundscape fills the listener with thought provoking, cinematically driven music. All of which Jakucs controls organically with his own hands. This unique blend of emotional warmth with philosophical depth provides a pathway for the listener to access memories and envision future dreams.
